Guide Rank upgrade Skills Equipment



Trooper squads are four man strong strike teams with a great combination of speed and damage to both infantry and vehicles alike. Being highly versatile and cheap to train, they form the backbone of your army.

Skills:

  • R-1 combat grenade — Deals area damage. Stun Ammo and Phosphorus Charge upgrades allow troopers’ granades to stun enemy infantry and deal additional fire damage to both troops and vehicles respectively.
  • RPG-77 — Deals quick devastation to any vehicle it targets and high area damage to concentrated groups of infantry. EM Head upgrade turns the trooper into a true tank hunter, allowing him to completely disable an enemy vehicle for 3 seconds.
  • First Aid Kit — Replenishes a certain amount of squad’s health once during a battle. Especially effective with a purchased Anesthetic upgrade that gives troopers invincibility for 3 seconds after they activate the aid kit.
  • PR-7L Amor — Absorbs damage dealt by tank guns, increasing a trooper’s survivability when under tank fire. Combined with Combat Stimulants upgrade, increases the damage dealt by a trooper with low health.

Useful tips:

  • Troopers are fast, traversing terrain with ease, and are especially effective at quickly reinforcing combat zones, giving your other types of soldiers the help they need in battle.
  • Troopers do not have large amounts of health, and are vulnerable to tanks with heavy splash damage or machine gunners equipped with suppressive fire. Hence, spreading out the troopers or using them to flank the enemy with their speed and agility will increase your chances of winning the battle.
  • Troopers have strength in numbers, and are perfect for overwhelming units with no splash damage or low rate of fire, such as snipers.
  • EM Head upgrade makes your troopers highly effective against enemy vehicles. With it, 2 or 3 squads of troopers can deal with a basic tank of the same level. Please note that some types of vehicles (such as the Predator tank) restore their health when being stunned. It’s advised to use a different kind of troops against them.
  • Trooper’s skills are activated in a strict order. When facing an enemy, a trooper first fires his rifle, than uses his RPG, then fires the rifle again, and then throws a granade. The sequence repeats after that. If some skill is not upgraded at least to level 1, it’s removed from the sequence.
