A machine gunners squad consisting of 3 soldiers is one of the core units of your army. Armed with rapid-firing weapons, they can cover a certain area of a map with a barrage of bullets. This makes them especially effective against groups of enemy infantry.

Skills:

  • Concentration — deals an increased amount of damage to a specific target. Effective against single units with a lot of health.
  • Suppressive Fire — machine gunners cover an area of a map with a rain of bullets. Effective against dense groups of enemy infantry, especially if they are equipped with anesthetics.
  • First Aid Kit — restores a certain number of health points. Automatically activated when HP gets down to 50%.
  • PR-9T Armor — absorbs a certain amount of damage dealt to the squad, improving its survivability.

Useful tips:

  • Try to send your machine gunners in separate squads against groups of enemies. This way the first squad will make the enemy infantry activate their anesthetics, while the second one will attack them when the anesthetics’ effect is over. This technique is especially effective if your machine gunners have a properly upgraded Suppressive Fire skill.
  • Don't forget about upgrading equipment. Learning Weapon Adjustment and Strong Receiver can potentially increase the Concentration damage by more than 2 times.
  • Purchased Strong Receiver Mk.1 allows machine gunners to provide decent support in fights against heavy armored vehicles. When Concentration gets triggered, it increases the target’s vulnerability by 20% for 5 seconds. Wait till your machine gunners get into the kneeling position — this means the Concentration has been activated. Then, to deal the maximum damage to a tank, quickly cover it with artillery fire.
