Skills:

  • Extermination — a single, well placed shot to decimate the enemy. M-166 Telescopic Sight upgrades boost to the damage dealt to vehicles by 100% and 200% respectively. Obtaining Expanding Ammo gives the unit a 10% chance of instantly annihilating the target with a single shot.
  • Series of shots — A quick succession of shots targeted at multiple different enemies, great for wiping out groups of enemy infantry. Depleted Uranium Bullets increase the damage dealt by 25% and 50%, while acquiring the SG 550 Breech Block adds an extra one or two shots to the series.
  • First Aid Kit — Replenishes the user's health once per battle. Purchasing the Anesthetic upgrade makes the sniper invlulnerable to enemy fire for 3 seconds after the First Aid Kit activation, while the next upgrade increases the effectiveness of healing by 75%.
  • Carbon Fiber Jump Suit — Absorbs damage dealt by enemy artillery. The camouflage Netting upgrade increases sniper’s anti-infantry protection by 30% and 45%.

Useful tips:

  • Snipers are best at picking infantry off from a distance, and are not as effective against vehicles, hence avoid attacking enemy vehicles with your snipers and focus on infantry instead to keep them at their maximum potential of dealing damage.
  • Snipers, possessing long range and high damage per shot, perform at their best when behind cover. By keeping your snipers behind your other units with higher hit points, like tanks or machine gunners, you can allow your snipers to wreck havoc on the enemy without being shot or killed.
  • Snipers are perfect for injuring or dealing great amounts of damage to infantry, but are not good at finishing them off. Hence by accompanying the sniper with other soldiers like troopers, the sniper can damage the enemy with a powerful shot, while the troopers can finish the wounded enemy off, allowing the sniper to save his ammunition for other enemies with higher hit points, maximizing your army's killing efficiency and coordination.
  • Snipers neither deal splash damage nor have a high rate of fire, and hence are more effective against a single enemy with higher health than multiple enemies with lower amounts of health each. Therefore, use your snipers to prioritize small groups of enemies with more health like rocketeers or elite infantry, rather than large numbers of units like troopers which have little hit points.
